Flash Flood and Water Soaked Carpet Talk about no rest for the wicked. I work hard all week and start a somewhat relaxing weekend and then all hell breaks loose Saturday night. Flash flood puts water in the front two rooms of my house while I'm in Lake Charles. I haven't left town in months, it hasn't rained in months and they both happen at the same time. So until 5 am I'm cleaning up water and pulling up the carpet and then sunday goes right out the window.

On the bright side I got to learn all about carpet, how it goes in, what to do when it gets wet, etc, etc. Ended up throwing out the carpet since it looked pretty nasty under there from age and maybe a previous soaking. Good times.  ¶ 10:25 PM
