Who can beat the Iceman Chuck Liddell
Last nice Chuck was once again very impressive laying a decisive defeat upon Tito Ortiz. The question that everyone has to have is who can beat the Iceman? Well there is a fairly new guy in MMA who's been very impressive in the heavyweight division but is capable of making weight and giving a real challenge to Chuck. That man is Brandon Vera and I can't wait until he sets his sights on the Iceman. Until then I think Chuck will be lonely on top of the light heavyweight division.

Big anticipation for UFC 66 Ortiz vs. Liddell
I'm really anxious for tonights fights at UFC 66. Chuck Liddell has been staying on top of everyone with easy victories and tonight he fights a very hungry Tito Ortiz. Tito is going to be physically ready tonight and it really comes down to how well Chuck is doing. Is he still fast and strong or has lack of competition taken his edge off? The hardest thing about being on top is there is nothing above you to clutch on to so that you don't slip. Come on Iceman!

  Being Sick
I haven't had a real cold all year but end up sick for the weeks leading in to Christmas. Today was the first day I've been able to exercise and have finally got energy to do more than just *work* during a given day. I also finally managed to get all the problems worked out with my home heater right as its not as important anymore due to me no longer running fever. Wonderful...

One great thing about keeping a blog is that you can keep track of how long something has been going on. Glancing at this blog today I saw that my sinus infection started the week of the 14th and ends this week of the 27th.

UCLA vs. Florida State - The first really interesting bowl game for the end of football season. I'm giving this one to UCLA unless they find a way to slow down that Quarterback for UCLA. There's all this business about Jimbo Fisher leaving LSU to become Florida State's Offense Coordinator. He's of course denying it until the season's over and we'll see what becomes of that. I can't imagine the guy leaving LSU right now with the tools he has to work with.

Recovering from Christmas around Baton Rouge
The biggest part of the Christmas season for me is the end of it! I love Christmas time, spending time with family and everything that goes with the last couple of days of the event but everything leading up to it is so taxing. The people all out like mad shopping just makes me what to stand back and out of the way.

Unfortunately we can't be Scrooges so we all get thrown into the mix! Bah humbug!

Well all is done now except for the week of excellent college football bowls. I'm very much looking forward to LSU vs. Notre Dame where the Tigers should prove to be more than a match for the Irish. Florida is representing in the title game against the Vaunted Buckeyes. Don't forget Michigan vs. USC where both teams have to have at least a little chip on their shoulders.

Don't forget UFC 66 is this weekend! I tell you the best part about the end of the year is the 10 days after the 25th. Happy birthday Jesus, hello sports week!

  Dealing with getting sick
There's nothing worse for a programmer than a sinus cold. You can't think, you can't sleep and you definitely can't program anything worth looking at.

  Up All Damn Night
Louisiana has a very short winter but there are a few spans of time where it'll get really cold and really warm all in the same week/days. This is usually when I get sick and have to sleep off various bugs and sinus infections. The end result is a screwed up sleeping schedule that results in working in the early am and posting blogs about how you feel bad and can't sleep.

I did however catch the last two fights of UFC Fight Night Live Sanchez vs. Riggs. I didn't catch the first fights because I forgot about it due to sinus headache.(hardly remembering my name)

Josh Koscheck vs. Jeff Joslin was a pretty typical fight for Koscheck. He took a couple of shots and managed to out wrestle the guy for 3 rounds then won a decision. Whoopie. It was interesting however for Spike TV to have to beep out the crowd chanting "Fuck him up". I've got to say thats a first for me.

Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Riggs didn't go down like alot of people expected it would. Riggs got himself knocked clean out and fast when both men landed rights to the jaw. Diesel lost his footing and Sanchez nailed him with a knee before he could get back up. Wow

Diego is more than ready to fight for the belt. I suppose they've been saving him for when they're out of people hot to contend for the belt. He's kind of out there and not in a hurry to get in the ring with the champion. I get the impression he's just loving life and fighting whoever they put in his path.

Anyhow back to programming. Maybe even get some good sleep in a while here.

The New Orleans Saints March over the Dallas Cowboys
Wow what a game by the Saints all around. Big plays all around the field and a huge night for the entire team. You know a team has come together when you can't point to a single guy on the field and say thank god for him. All the power positions played well as well as alot of guys you don't hear from. Mike Karney got the first 3 touchdowns of his carrer, wow.

  Whipping Aggie Ass
Boy what a game our LSU guys played today? Big Baby Glen Davis gets better every day along with the rest of our offense! I definitely think the final four is coming again this year.

  Ben Voogd vs. Tack Minor
Who can turn the ball over most against A&M? At least it looks like thats the contest they're having.

Props go out to John Brady with that tech he got tonight. That foul was very bad and should've been called. Referee's had to know about it!

LSU vs. Texas A&M - Basketball heating up
Here we go baby!!! LSU Basketball is going to start heating up again tonight with a rematch against Texas A&M! Basketball has really been catching on around Baton Rouge and deservingly so. Jim Brady has done a great job of bringing talent to our men's team.

After last years March madness created by the Aggies & Tigers I wouldn't miss this game.

  Great day of football
Whoa whoa whoa with only minutes left UCLA is in a position to shake everything up. Florida is whipping Arkansas and everyone in Michigan must be losing their minds wondering what will happen to the Wolverines.

  College Football Saturday
Its championship game day with huge games all day long. Starting my day with the ACC championship with Georgia Tech and Wake Forest. Then its the game where numbers don't matter when UCLA and USC go for it.(Possibly having huge repercussions for LSU if UCLA wins.) Next up is the big dance in the SEC with Florida and Arkansas and we finish the day with two big wars as Oklahoma and Nebraska go for it at the same time as Rutgers and West Virginia. I can't wait for all of these games!
